Profile

The focus of my coaching work is on both the craft of leadership (skills/techniques)
and leadership development (the personal growth of the leader) typically in support
of key people in transition - to new roles, new levels of responsibility.

My approach combines a deep understanding of human psychology, organisation complexity, and multiple coaching methodologies, integrated through reflective practice.
I recognise that people truly grow and develop only as a result of their own decisions; decisions made in response to new and rediscovered insights. Clients tell me they appreciate my capacity to generate new questions in the minds of those with whom
I work – most of whom are experienced operators – new questions that link their existing perceptions and experience to a renewed understanding of themselves, those they lead and the issues being explored. This awareness is the source and enabler of change.

I have over 25 years experience working with business leaders and their senior teams in the UK, Europe, Asia and the US, with particular experience in the legal sector. This has included the design and delivery of partner leadership programmes, partner coaching assignments (approx 300 partners over the past 10 years) and the facilitation of team and practice group off-sites.

I hold a BA (hons) in Fine Art and Drama, an MA in Psychological Coaching (distinction) am a qualified coach supervisor (Coaching Supervision Academy) and a CEDR accredited mediator. I am an Accredited Master Executive Coach with APECS (the Association
of Professional Executive Coaches and Supervisors) recognised as the leading accreditation body for executive coaches. I have also served as a board director with APECS since 2017.

I work both independently and in collaboration with a network of consultants, coaches,
and business schools – the specific mix determined by what best addresses the scale and nature of the project. If you would like to know more, I look forward to speaking with you.
